Complete Control for the User
MINNEAPOLIS, MN April 18, 2006 – Otto Bock HealthCare introduces a truly unique orthotic device, the E-MAG Control, which breaks ground as the first electronically controlled knee joint.
The E-MAG Control joint comes fully equipped with a feedback system that uses light, vibration, or sound signals to notify the user when the joint is locked and ready for walking or unlocked for bending the knee to accommodate a seated position.
The unique design of the E-MAG offers increased confidence when getting up from a seated position or while walking and a convenient remote control release allows for convenient control for the user.
“The E-MAG is unique in its ability to combine convenience and stability for a patient. With the introduction of this device, we reinforce our commitment to providing Orthotists with innovative solutions for their patients,” said Brad Ruhl, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
