Otto Bock's Continued Commitment to Research and Development
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA June 21, 2006 – Otto Bock HealthCare announced the promotion of Sarah McCarvill to Manager of Development Engineering in our Salt Lake City location. Sarah has been with Otto Bock for three and half years with a focus on both product development and testing for prosthetic feet.

McCarvill has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Material Science Engineering with an emphasis on composite and polymer materials from the University of Utah. Prior to Otto Bock, McCarvill spent some time with the Bone & Joint Research Lab at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She also spent a year as a sales rep for an orthopedic specialty blades company.
McCarvill’s essay, Prosthetics for Athletes was published in the December 2005 issue of the Lancet, the world’s leading independent general medical journal.
