Myoelectric Advances

11/1/2004

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA September 20, 2004- Otto Bock HealthCare announced a trio of products designed to increase options for upper extremity specialists.
New electrodes dramatically increase sensitivity while reducing the interference of electrical signals so common in today’s electronic world. The end result is a responsive device that improves patient outcomes and is closer to natural function.
The new Size 7 hand provides an intermediate hand size for small-framed adults or growing teens. Like all Otto Bock upper extremity components, the new hand is easily interchanged with other terminal devices.
MyoSelect represents an improvement in upper extremity fitting. A simple device expands programming options without the limitations and difficulty of coding plugs.
“We are always aiming to simplify our processes and make our product benefits easily accessible.” said Pat Chelf, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “Combining cutting-edge technology with the clinical know-how of our more than twenty-member Professional Services department consistently delivers better outcomes for our customers and their patients.”
Established in 1958, Minneapolis, Minnesota-based Otto Bock Health Care is the North and South American corporate headquarters of Otto Bock HealthCare, GmbH, based in Duderstadt, Germany.
