New Otto Bock Foot is Ready for Axtion

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA October 15, 2004- Otto Bock HealthCare announced the release of the new Axtion prosthetic foot, developed and manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah.


The Axtion combines great energy return courtesy of carbon fiber with a unique urethane wedge to provide smooth rollover for a wide variety of activities. The Axtion is a lightweight 13.6 ounces, developed to meet the rising demand for low clearance foot options.


“The Axtion is the third new foot Otto Bock has released in 2004 in response to our customer’s needs.” said Pat Chelf, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. “Bringing new technology to life is only one side of it, though. Our commitment to education and service is stronger than ever.”


Like other Otto Bock Custom-Made feet, the Axtion is customized to an individual’s weight and activity level and is available in sizes 22 to 31.
