New TT Design™ and TF Design™ Software
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA February 1, 2005 – Otto Bock Health Care announced the introduction of a new design software system to make socket fabrication faster, more efficient and more user friendly. This software is called TT Design™ and TF Design™. It replaces what was known as the Electronic Test Socket (ETS) software. This advanced software program has a number time and money saving advantages over the previous version.
With TT Design software, it has never been easier to control the accuracy of a well fitting socket. Simply take one anterior and one lateral photo of the residual limb with the digital camera provided, and the software will project a three-dimensional image of the limb.
The software then allows the practitioner to modify the image to create the perfect socket fit for his/her client. Once the perfect socket design is made, the order is e-mailed to Otto Bock’s Fabrication Services for a high quality, well fitting socket delivered quickly.
Additionally, the TT Design software offers a new socket shape, the Total Surface Weight Bearing (TSWB) socket. The TSWB socket allows the employment of vacuum technology for test sockets. Options for the vacuum technology are the proven one-way valve technique or the new Otto Bock Harmony system.
“While we’ve maintained the simplicity of the previous system, in this new release all components for a complete prosthesis can be selected interactively.” Said Jeff Ashenbrenner, Market Manager for Consulting and Fabrication Services. “Practitioners can literally watch the prosthesis being built on the screen.”
