Otto Bock HealthCare Wins the Red Dot Design Award
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA July 1 – Otto Bock HealthCare’s 3R60 knee and Axtion foot recently won the coveted red dot award for product design.
The red dot design award is one of the most significant international product design competitions. Each year companies, designers, and new talents from all around the world submit their product designs to an international jury of design experts. It is given through The Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany, which is one of the oldest and most highly reputed design institutions in Europe. The red dot design award is the international seal of quality for outstanding design.
Otto Bock HealthCare’s 3R60 hydraulic knee is designed for lower limb amputees.
Its polycentric design offers increased toe clearance during swing phase and it also comes with four modular connector options to accommodate different amputations levels. The 3R60 knee can provide a greater range of cadences due to its adjustable swing phase hydraulic and high extension damping. The technology and design of the 3R60 knee provides its user with the comfort and security to engage in their everyday activities.
Otto Bock HealthCare’s Axtion foot is perfect for the active user. The pyramid feature has an integrated elastomer wedge that enhances the flexibility of the
mid-foot ensuring smooth rollover. The carbon fiber toe plate provides excellent support and energy return. Its unique design provides it’s users with a lightweight high function foot.
