SANDRA RAMDIAL NAMED MANAGER OF CUSTOM SILICON SERVICES IN OTTO BOCK CANADA
Otto Bock Canada has appointed Sandra Ramdial,CP, to manage the company’s Custom Silicon Services Group, in Oakville Ontario. Ramdial’s appointment reflects Otto Bock Heath Care’s commitment to broaden its portfolio to address the needs of professional orthotists and prosthetists in the Americas. Since 1999, Otto Bock Canada has served as the company’s design and fabrication Center of Excellence for custom silicone products—including hand, foot and liner products for North America. The ultra realistic prostheses are made from the highest quality, medical grade silicone and are tailored to provide the most natural look and the best fit for hard-to-fit clients. Under Ramdial’s leadership, Otto Bock plans to grow its custom silicon services group so it can provide the North American market with an ever-widening range of custom silicon products.
Prior to joining Otto Bock, Ramdial spent 14 years at Toronto’s Bloorview MacMillian Centre, formerly known as the Ontario Crippled Children's Center, where she was an integral member of the Powered Upper Extremity Prosthetics Program. She received her technical and clinical certification in prosthetics and orthotics from George Brown College in Toronto where she continues to teach myoelectric courses. She also teaches clinical methods for the University of Toronto’s Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs.
