Harmony P2 and Harmony HD

Introducing the new Harmony® P2 from Otto Bock:

ROTATING The new rotational feature allows wearers to move more naturally — whether they are walking, running errands or golfing.

STREAMLINED The slimmer profile of the P2 makes it easier to finish the prosthesis, achieving the look your patients desire.

SIMPLIFIED The new Harmony P2 design features an internal elastomer rod that allows the practitioner to make infinite adjustments and eliminates the need for air.

INCREASED RELIABILITY Offered through a double filtration system, shorter tubing and fewer in-line connections.

LIGHT All of the great benefits are packaged in a sleek design with 40% weight reduction as compared to previous Harmony models.

Volume Control

The Harmony System’s elevated vacuum pulls oxygenated fluids into the residual limb during swing phase and pushes fluids out during weight bearing. The result is less than 1% volume loss during the course of the day.*

Linkage

Not only does the elevated vacuum between the socket and the liner control volume, it helps the prosthesis become one with the user.

Reduced Forces

Daily volume fluctuations inherently cause an inconsistent fit for many amputees not under vacuum and can lead to pressure points on the limb. Controlling volume under vacuum reduces these forces and results in better limb health.

Proprioception

Elevated vacuum leads to heightened proprioception, the awareness a user has of her or his leg in space. This leads to increased balance, stability and control over the prosthesis.

The Harmony® P2 is a unique volume management* system that marries the technologies of two companies to offer the benefits of improved linkage, increased proprioception, maximized endurance of user activity and rotation.

Suggested L-Codes:**  L5781, L5988, L5984

*Volume management occurs at vacuum levels of 12-15 in. Hg or higher (A Comparison of Trans-Tibial Amputee Suction and Vacuum Socket Conditions. Board, W.J., Street, G.M., Caspers, C. Prosthetics and Orthotics International. 2001, 25, 202-209.)
**The responsibility for accurate coding lies with the patient care facility that selects a product and fits the patient. Otto Bock's coding recommendations are based on our best judgment. These recommendations are open to revision based on additional information or changes in the alpha-numeric system.
