PAULA is a comprehensive software package providing essential support for myo testing, socket design, component selection and patient management.

PAULA enhances the quality of fitting and improves patient outcomes. This all-in-one software is simple to use and guides you step-by-step through the component selection and ordering process for optimal outcomes.

Using PAULA, you can create new patient files, archive data of existing patients, and track information over time in order to document changes in your patients’ information. This allows you to compare residual limb statistics from older to current measurements.

Myo-Test

PAULA integrates new and updated myotesting software in order to test and evaluate muscle signals. Because it integrates patient training into the software, PAULA also enables you to train your patient to use myoelectric components.
Animation will show your patients how their myo signals can control a prosthesis, such as showing the opening and closing of a hand, rotation of a wrist or movement of the elbow.
This visual feedback is a tremendous advantage and helps your patient learn targeted contraction of individual muscle groups as well as virtually learn the use of a prosthetic device before it is delivered.

Transradial (TR) Socket Design

A revolutionary feature of PAULA is its ability to support  transradial (TR) socket design. You can import digital photographs of your patient’s limb into the software, then, with the click of your computer mouse, use PAULA to design the socket. PAULA will provide a three-dimensional image of the socket for you to modify to suit your patient’s residual limb.

Component Selection

Based on the components you select, PAULA will perform a clearance check. This means you don’t need to worry whether or not selected components will fit in the available space. Beyond component selection, PAULA suggests suitable control modes and other optimal features for your patient.

Ordering Process

This all-in-one software has simplified the ordering process as well. PAULA identifies the components you select and incorporates them into an order form (including descriptions and article numbers). If you use the TR Design feature, you have a complete rough trial prosthesis by simply clicking a button. PAULA can generate an e-mail order to Otto Bock for processing. If you need to notify Customer Service of specific information, you can add an order note to the e-mail. Otto Bock will ship you either the individual components, or the fabricated TR trial prosthesis — depending on what you prefer.
