Patient Management

A prosthetic fitting not only requires skills as a craftsman. It also needs a high level of paperwork. Comprehensive documentation is required, especially for justification of a new or follow-up fitting to the reimbursement party. This work takes a great deal of time.

Software is necessary that significantly streamlines documentation procedures for record-keeping.

PAULA's patient management (called the “Otto Bock Data Station”) allows to create new patient files as well as to archive data of existing patients. Prosthetists can simply and easily track relevant data and update patients’ information. The possibility of loading patients’ pictures and of entering additional information allows individual saving of each patient file. PAULA is easy, simple and efficient!

Personal details such as patient name, date of birth, gender or insurance can be displayed. In addition, other data referring to single patients and jobs can be entered. The prosthetist can create several 'jobs' for each patient, where the results of different Myo-Tests can be saved.

Another advantage of PAULA is that corresponding residual limb measurements can be compared with older measurements over time, in order to document changes in the residual limb as indication for a new socket. Moreover, PAULA uses all entered patients parameters as factors influencing later socket design and component selection.
