Each patient requires an individual fitting. PAULA is a useful assistant for the variety of components and configuration possibilities based on the patient’s data.

Once the socket has been designed, the appropriate components must be selected. Therefore, the basic principle applies that each patient requires an individual fitting. The necessary diversity and complexity of components and configuration possibilities, however, make the appropriate selection difficult. The prosthetist must take into consideration the residual limb length and muscle potentials that have an essential influence on the determination of adequate components.
PAULA helps the prosthetist with this selection process. Based on the patient data and the evaluated muscle signals, the software automatically offers suggestions of compatible MYOBOCK® components.

Beyond component selection PAULA also suggests suitable control modes of the individual programs. The program interactivity excludes inappropriate combinations, for example to avoid an excessive length of the prosthesis. The prosthetist can feel confident that the suggested components are compatible with each other. Thus, the patient will be able to make optimal use of them. If desired, experienced prosthetists can also select the component configuration rather than rely on the suggested components provided by PAULA.
