Biomechanical Performance

Because the 1D35 delivers a smooth, controlled performance, impact forces on the patient’s contralateral limb are reduced. The amputee is able to load the prosthetic foot with essentially the same amount of weight as the sound limb. Because the amputee does not have to compensate with their sound limb, this also contributes to more natural gait characteristics.

Patient Characteristics

The Dynamic Motion is suitable for people with transtibial amputation, knee disarticulation, transfemoral amputation or hip disarticulation with a low to moderate level of activity, and who require a foot with comfortable heel strike, physiological rollover, and good energy return. We recommend it for Otto Bock Mobility Grades 2 and 3*. The foot is available in the sizes from 24 to 30 centimeters and can be used up to a maximum weight of 100 kilograms / 220 pounds depending on the foot size.

*The Otto Bock MOBIS Mobility System is NOT intended to be used in the U.S. as a guide to obtaining reimbursement for prosthetic components.
