The program is our commitment to patients who use our product, and an important part of our service to the practitioner. 

Every C-Leg® microprocessor knee is due for service at 24 months, and there may be other circumstances which require servicing for the knee. We want to ensure that C-Leg® users can wear the same safe, functional knee joint they’re used to, even when their own knee is in the Otto Bock service department.  And, we want to make sure the service loaner program is available and sustainable for the future. 
 
C-Leg® loaner knees are solely intended for patients to use, free of charge, during the time their C-Leg® is being serviced (normal turnaround = 2-3 business days).  After we have serviced the patient’s knee and returned it to their prosthetist, the loaner knee should be returned to Otto Bock in a timely manner. To prevent situations in which loaner knees are never returned, we will assess a fee after a reasonable amount of time and effort has taken place to recover the knee.
