Merging easy swing phase initiation with swing phase damping positively impacts the wearers gait pattern.

Meet the next generation 3R106 modular knee joint. The sleek exterior adds to the knee’s appeal, but the real benefits stem from the internal redesign that delivers improved function and easy adjustability. A new double-chamber pneumatic system makes the knee joint much more powerful while it precisely and reliably controls swing phase. The benefits of the knee’s proven security and the large 170° flexion angle are complemented by a higher weight limit, more fitting options, and simpler adjustments.
The high-performance dual chamber pneumatic unit supports a wide range of walking speeds. The unique swing phase dampening and smooth extension stop help provide a more natural gait pattern. Flexion and extension dampening are easily adjustable to meet the user’s needs.
In the extended position, the instantaneous pivot point is located well above the joint and behind the load line. This polycentric structure makes the knee reliably secure in stance phase and ensures greater ground clearance in swing phase. All this provides your patient with greater trust in the function of the prosthesis. The large 170° flexion angle of and the lightweight design (760 grams) are ideal for activities like biking, getting into the car, sitting, or kneeling.
The four modular connection options – identical to the new 3R60 EBS Knee Joint – allow for easy fitting of different amputation heights. The latest development of the 3R106 is also suitable for weights up to 220 pounds / 100 kilograms. The required tube adapter is included with the knee.
