The Otto Bock Compact
With many prosthetic knee joints, people have to think...and sometimes worry about each step they take. Times have changed.
Thanks to the Compact, they can move more freely in everyday situations — speeding up or slowing down, responding to uneven terrain, tackling slopes or descending stairs. The security comes from the microprocessor adjusting the knee in real time — not a step early, not a step late.
The Otto Bock Compact™ microprocessor-controlled knee is designed to deliver the best in stability and reliability. It has easy-to-charge lithium ion batteries with 40-45 hours of power, and is appropriate for people who:
-
Are transfemoral amputees, including those with bilateral limb deficiencies or hip disarticulation amputations
-
Are involved in activities that require a high level of stance stability
-
Walk or have the potential to walk on uneven terrain
-
Frequently descend stairs or negotiate slopes
-
Fit the activity profile for Otto Bock Mobility Grade Levels 2 and 3*
-
Need the best in stance phase stability
-
Would not benefit from highly variable swing phase adjustments
-
Do not frequently engage in activities that would benefit from the Second Mode option *
*The Otto Bock MOBIS® Mobility System is NOT intended to be used as a guide to obtaining reimbursement for prosthetic components.
