Though Otto Bock products are extremely durable and designed to grow with your child, sooner or later products for smaller children will be outgrown or your child's capabilities will advance beyond the product. When an Otto Bock Kids mobility product has outgrown its utility, we support donation of the product to a child in a developing country.
Thanks to our partnership with Hope Haven, such a donation can be made in your child's name. Hope Haven is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization headquartered in Iowa. One of Hope Haven's most extensive activities is providing mobility equipment to disabled children and adults in developing countries around the world. Since 1994, Hope Haven has donated almost 50,000 wheelchairs and other mobility devices, but the need always outstrips the supply.
If you would like to donate your Otto Bock Kids mobility product once your child no longer needs it or uses it, please bring the equipment to your original supplier along with your child's name and your contact information attached. An Otto Bock sales representative will coordinate with the supplier shipping the product to Hope Haven.
You will receive a letter from Hope Haven acknowledging your donation, as well as for tax purposes. Whenever possible, we will also work with Hope Haven to provide you with a picture of the child benefiting from your donation so you can see, firsthand, the difference your generosity makes!
