Tübingen Hip Flexion Orthosis
The optimal position for treating congenital hip dysplasia combines moderate abduction with hip flexion greater than 90°. In the Tübingen Hip Flexion Orthosis, thigh supports are connected to the shoulder harness with two perlon-beaded cords that allow consistent hip flexion positioning. Parents apply the orthosis by using the hook & loop closure and the two white snap locks located on the front of the shoulder harness. The practitioner uses the red snap locks to set the desired position. The spreader bar is easily adjusted to the desired abduction angle.
