Join Ottobock 360: San Diego aboard the USS Midway

People who live or work with prosthetics and orthotics will have a unique opportunity to meet with Ottobock and learn more about breakthrough products.

People who live or work with prosthetics and orthotics will have a unique opportunity to meet with Ottobock and learn more about breakthrough products. Ottobock is hosting an engaging night of presentations from both clinical experts and Ottobock Champions who will share their first-hand experience with solutions such as the X3 and C-Leg microprocessor knees, the C-Brace orthotronic mobility system, the Michelangelo hand, and more.

For the first time, the event, which is open to both medical professionals and people living with mobiltiy challenges, will be held on board the USS Midway Museum, a retired US Navy aircraft carrier. The event will be held:

Lacey Henderson, Ottobock Ambassador and adaptive athlete

Lacey is a competitive athlete in sprinting and the long jump with her sights set on Rio for 2016. Lacey was just nine years old when her leg was amputated above the knee in a lifesaving measure after the diagnosis of a rare soft tissue tumor in her knee. It was a tough time for a young girl, but Lacey’s focus wasn’t on the negative. In addition to her personal journey, Lacey will share her experience with the Ottobock C-Leg microprocessor knee and 3S80 and carbon fiber Sprinter foot fitness solution.

Aaron Holm, founder of the Wiggle Your Toes and Ottobock Manager of Consumer Engagement

Aaron is founder and president of the nonprofit Wiggle Your Toes and an Ottobock employee. As the result of an accident in January of 2007, Aaron lost both of his legs above the knee. Aaron’s quick and successful recovery efforts are the premise of the Wiggle Your Toes organization. In May 2008, Aaron founded Wiggle with a mission to help other amputees regain independence and mobility. Aaron has given back to the amputee community through his group and by lobbying on Capitol Hill against the Medicare draft LCD. In addition, Aaron is able to share his experience with multiple Ottobock products, including the C-Leg, Genium, and X3 microprocessor knees and the carbon fiber Triton foot family.
