Accept the Challenge – New Ottobock foot takes people from the court to the track

The Challenger dominates at a variety of activities and moves from the court, to the field, to running.

Austin, TX (October 4, 2016) – Ottobock has released the Challenger prosthetic foot, an innovative multi-purpose foot specifically designed for the varying demands of everyday walking to recreational fitness.

The foot was unveiled to rave reviews during the Invictus Games in Orlando this May where Ottobock was the O&P service provider for all athletes. The Challenger dominates at a variety of activities and moves from the court, to the field, to running. In addition to the Challenger’s versatility, it is waterproof and its unique design fits snugly inside an athletic shoe without the need for a foot shell.

“The Challenger is the perfect addition to Ottobock’s growing line of fitness and adaptive options and can also be used for everyday walking,” said Brad Ruhl, President of US HealthCare for Ottobock. “From handbikes, basketball wheelchairs, and sledge hockey equipment to orthotics and prosthetics, we help people compete, restore lost function and live a more active lifestyle.”

The Challenger is now available in the United States and Canada. If you would like more information on Ottobock’s new Challenger foot or fitness and adaptive equipment please visit our product page.
